What is Craft Cider?
Craft cider is only ever made from 100% pressed apple juice, fermented either naturally, or with added yeasts. It's made like wine, rather than brewed like beer. Sometimes extra sugar or apple juice are added if it is too dry. Sulphites are a typical addition at bottling, for freshness, and usually light carbonation. All craft ciders are 100% gluten free and vegan friendly.
Never to be confused with chemical ciders often found in supermarkets or draught taps in bars. Big, commercial names only need to have 35% apple juice to be called cider, and are often made from concentrate, diluted down with sugar and water to keep costs down. And don't even get us started on so called 'fruit ciders', we could tell you a thing or two about them too.......
Craft cider is indeed crafted. Skilfully blended over many months, using only juice from beloved orchards. With a taste so much deeper, richer, bolder and more tannic - more like wine, you won't find anything that can be likened to an appley lager here. Discover the difference with us.
