Delivery Costs

All prices shown exclude delivery. Delivery is charged at £6.95 for the first case, and £2.95 per case for any subsequent cases in the same order. Like most couriers, DHL charge extra for deliveries to UK islands, Scottish Highlands and other outlying postcodes and unfortunately we do have to factor in increased costs to these areas. 

Postcodes with surcharges include - but are not limited to - the following:

  • AB
  • DD8-11
  • HS
  • IM
  • IV
  • KA27-28
  • KW
  • PA20-80
  • PH19-50
  • TR21-25 (Isles of Scilly)
  • ZE

Where such surcharges do apply, these will be displayed at the checkout.

Delivery Times

In-Stock Items. We dispatch orders as a minimum, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. During busier periods we increase our sends up to five days a week. Orders received by 12.00 (midday) on a dispatch day will be sent on an overnight courier for next day delivery. Next day delivery only applies to standard mainland deliveries - outlying postcodes including but not limited to UK islands and Scottish Highlands and Islands may take up to three working days. If you're unsure when you will receive your order, please see the helpful delivery timer which features on any of our product pages.

Pre-Orders. Where items are sold on pre-sale for a future delivery date e.g Christmas Gifts, you will be advised at purchase of the sale date, which is when deliveries of this item will commence.

Age Verification on Handover of our Parcels. As a term of our license to sell alcohol, we are required to operate a Challenge 25 policy on delivery. If the person receiving the delivery appears under 25, we will require a valid ID (passport/ proof of age card/ photo driving licence) to complete the delivery. If ID cannot be presented, then a redelivery will be attempted at a later date.

If you are not at home when your order is delivered. If nobody is available to receive the order, our courier, DHL may attempt one of a few different things:

1. Your parcel will be delivered to a neighbour and signed for - the tracking will show you a photo and location information.

2. Delivery will be attempted the next working day. DHL, will attempt to deliver three times before parcels will be returned to us, the sender. Returned parcels will incur a cost for further redelivery attempts or on safe return of the parcel a refund will be issued for the cost of the product.

3. You can tailor the delivery via your DHL tracking email. This includes choosing a future, preferred delivery date of choosing a DHL Service Point to redirect your delivery to. More information can be found out on the DHL website.

Please note, DHL do not leaving calling cards through letterboxes so keep a close eye on your tracking information for delivery updates. Tracking information is emailed on dispatch of your parcel. If the product is to be delivered to someone else. If the purchaser elects to have the goods delivered to an address other than their home address (for example if it is a gift), the same age verification terms apply and the recipient must be able to prove that they are over 18.

When you become responsible for the goods. A product which is goods will be your responsibility from the time we handover the product to the address you gave us. We cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property.

Returns & Refunds

If you would like to return products please let us know by emailing us at queries@bristolcidershop.co.uk Please provide your name, home address, order number and the issue and, where available, your phone number and email address.

Returning products. If you would like to return products for any reason after products have been dispatched to you or you have received them, you must return them to us at your cost.

When we will pay the costs of return. We will pay the costs of return:

(a) if the products are faulty or misdescribed; or

(b) if you have a legal right to do so as a result of something we have done wrong.

In all other circumstances you must pay the costs of return.

How we will refund you. We will refund you the price you paid for the products, by the original method you used for payment. However, we may make deductions from the price, as described below.

Deductions from refunds if you are exercising your right to change your mind. If you are exercising your right to change your mind:

(a) We may reduce your refund of the price (excluding delivery costs) to reflect any reduction in the value of the goods, if this has been caused by your handling them in a way which would not be permitted in a shop. If we refund you the price paid before we are able to inspect the goods and later discover you have handled them in an unacceptable way, you must pay us an appropriate amount.

(b) The maximum refund for delivery costs will be the costs of delivery paid by you.

When your refund will be made. We will make any refunds due to you as soon as possible, normally within 14 days.
