From time to time, we love to do a single variety case, and for March we have selected Yarlington Mill, one of the Legends of the cider apple world discovered growing as a seedling in a wall at the watermill at Yarlington, about 6 miles for our Farm in Somerset.
Perfect for single variety ciders, it also blends well - but here we showcase it on it's own. Renowned for its strong colour and taste, it provides big, if somewhat erratic crops, this deep red bittersweet apple is a favourite in Somerset and Herefordshire. This selection showcases the range of styles and flavours you can get fork just one apple variety along - medium sweet to dry, as well as a still. Each case has one each of
Newton Court x River Cottage collab – 6.2%, Herefordshire – Medium Sweet
A sparkling medium sweet with fruity notes, balanced acidity and good tannins too, amazing to get all 3 from the one single variety. Light, easy drinking and apparently pairs especially well with goats cheese and pork pies.
Ross Cider Yarlington Mill SV – 6.5%, Herefordshire
Albert makes a wonderful range of single variety ciders at Ross, and his wild ferment Yarlington Mill is one of the best and most accessible. Typically very juicy with elements of clove and nutmeg, perfectionist Albert says this vintage is not quite to his usual standards, but we think its lovely.
Bere Cider Company Yarlington Mill – 6% Medium, Langport, Somerset
A new single variety addition to the Bere portfolio, freshly bottled just before the case was packed! A deep rich red colour after the fruit, with good aroma and great balance. A great example of its kind.
Rawlins Family Yarlington Mill – 6.2% Medium Still, Ilminster, Somerset
Simon Rawlins is really making some great cider, and to be a little different here, we have got a still cider, made from half-keeved (sweeter) and half dry Yarlington, blended to give a lovely medium with good depth of flavour and balance.
Temple Yarlington Mill – 6.5% Dry, Beaminster, Dorset
Paul is making some lovely cider from his farm in Dorset and makes his “Yarly” only with fallen apples, hand-picked off the floor when ripe, repeated again a Month later to get all the best fruit. The result is a dry, very drinkable, light bodied lightly sparkling cider.
King Brain Organic Yarlington Mill – 6.5% Medium, Sparkford, Somerset
John is the 5th generation to farm, the slopes of Cadbury, near Sparkford, less than 3 miles from Yarlington itself. An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Now farming Organically, their Yarlington is a lighter, crisp cider, with great appley aroma, with a small amount of organic cane sugar added to back-sweeten to medium

What happens If I am not in?
Because we are shipping a Licensed product (alcohol), parcels wont normally be left in safe places. One of three things will happen if you are not in at the time of your delivery.
1. It will be delivered to a neighbour and signed for - the tracking will show a photo of where your parcel has been delivered. Calling cards are not left so please keep a close eye on your tracking information for updates.
2. Your parcel will be returned to the depot and a redelivery will be attempted the next working day. DHL will make three delivery attempts before your parcel is returned to us, where there will be a charge for further delivery attempts after this time. Alternatively a full refund for the cost of the product will be issued on its safe return.
3. You can tailor the delivery via your DHL tracking email. This includes choosing a future, preferred delivery date or choosing a DHL Service Point to redirect your delivery to. More information can be found out on the DHL website.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is £6.95 for most of UK for your first case and then £2.95 for additional ones. Are there any places you cannot ship?
We currently only ship within the UK. Delivery to UK islands, Scottish Islands and Scottish Highlands postcodes may cost extra - delivery charges will be displayed at checkout after you have entered your delivery address. Unfortunately we cannot ship outside the UK.

Unfortunately our licence doesn’t allow us to have customer collections on site so we can only take orders for delivery, sorry!
How can I track my order?
When we ship your order, you will receive an email from us containing a tracking code from our couriers, DHL . The quickest way to track your parcel is to follow the tracking link and this will show you the status of your delivery in real time. This will also allow you to change any delivery details if you need to. If you have any further problems, please email us at queries@bristolcidershop.co.uk and we will do our best to help. Sorry we don't have a phone number.
